>More JVM Goodness for your Builds

>If you have been experiencing some problems with the version of the JVM’s installed on the build machine, then wait no longer. Thanks to the eclipse webmasters for installing some necessary RPM’s, and for Chris being able to install the updated JVMs, we now have some new versions for you to try.

I’ve added Hudson JDK entries for the new JVMs, so if you are using a Maven based build, you can pick from the available JVMs. If you are using a Athena based build, you may want to try and update your build properties to point to the new JVMs.

Java 5.0 SR11 – 64 Bit PPC

Java 6.0 SR7 – 64 Bit PPC

The existing jvms are still available, and the JDK 1.4 jvm has not been updated. Build masters give these a try, and let us know if there are any issues, or if they solve existing issues. I have verified at least one issue the jetty-rt project was experiencing has been addressed with this upgrade.

I’ll update the Athena FAQ later with more info on how to use these new JVMs with Athena based builds.
