>XSL Tools 0.5M9 Milestone available

>XSL Tools 0.5M9 is now available for download. This should also be available through the webtools update site as well. This site is available if you installed web tools from the Ganymede update site.

New and Noteworthy page is being worked on but here are some key features:

  • Saxon processing support. XSLT 2.0 stylesheets can be processed through the launch configurations using Saxon 8 or 9. No debugging support is available for Saxon, and Saxon itself is not distributed with 0.5M9. XSLT 1.0 support for Saxon can be added as well if using the Saxon 6.5 version. Just add the relevant Processor through the preference page.
  • Preference pages have been re-arranged a bit to separate out Java specific processors. Future functionality is planned to be added to support non-java processors.
  • XPath content assistance has been improved, it is a bit more intelligent on determining what assistance should be provided when editing an XPath statement.

In addition to the above, a complete list of bug fixes can be found here.

On another note, XSL Tools 0.5 passed it’s release view, and we’ll have an pre-1.0 release within the next week to give time for people to kick 0.5M9 around a bit.
