The eBay Open Source projects, Turmeric SOA and VJet, have migrated all their source code to be hosted by GitHub. All project code will now reside under the ebayopensource GitHub organisation. Forums, Wiki, Builds, and Issue tracking remain hosted at the main portal.
The move to GitHub should allow better interaction with the respective community, and provide an easy way for potential contributors to submit changes back to the community. GitHub provides a good web front end, and makes forking painless. We looked at possibly setting up a gitoris server, and maintaining repositories and access ourselves, but ultimately decided to go with GitHub.
The Turmeric SOA project has broken its repositories up into several smaller focused repositories:
- Runtime
- Eclipse Plugin
- Monitoring Console and Metrics
- Policy Administration and Policy Service
- Security Services
- Repository Service and Assertion Service
- Releng
VJet will be working on a similar restructuring over the coming weeks. We encourage you to fork and fork often. We also encourage you to provide those forked changes back so we can integrate them into the main repository.
